Day 3 - April 5th, 2012

Breakfast


Coffee!
(Yes I am cheating and using the same phone over and over again!!!)


2 Scrambled eggs, sauteed mushrooms with orange juice and a blueberry yogurt.

Lunch


Chicken Shawarma salad from Sultans.  I love this salad especially when you get the little cup of garlic sauce!
I LOVE GARLIC!! But I'm pretty sure my co-workers don't like me after I eat it!! :)

Mid-Afternoon Snack











I made a smoothie this morning for a mid-afternoon snack.
I got pretty hungry yesterday afternoon so I planned ahead this time.

 I filled the cup a third full of milk and then added about 1-2 cups of spinach, a tbsp of peanut butter and a small banana and blended them all together.
YUMMY!!!!

Dinner



Now I know all of this is not good for me except the cantalope...but look...good portion sizes and no bun!!

DAY 2 - April 4th, 2012

Breakfast


Coffee was definitely needed this morning!
My bed was so warm and cozy this morning that I didn't want to get up!


2 over-easy eggs with 1 cup of strawberries and a blueberry yogurt.

Mid-Morning Snack


A plain old banana...poor lonely banana!

Lunch



This is a tortilla loaded with smoked turkey lunch meat, spinach, cherry tomatoes and mustard.
Very good!  Especially since I was scraping to find something in the refrigerator this morning!

Mid-Afternoon Snack


Baby Carrots


So the turkey wrap didn't cut it this afternoon.
Around 2:30 I got very hungry so I found this in the refrigerator, left-over orzo pasta with mixed vegetables.

Dinner


Now I know this is not good for me...but it was so good!  Pizza and Beer!!
We usually have Pizza on Fridays, but my dad came over and wanted to have pizza on a Wednesday.
So we broke the rules!  Looks like we'll have to find something else for Friday.

DAY 1 - April 3rd, 2012

I'm going to try something new to motivate me and keep me accountable.  I'm going to try to keep this blog updated daily and full of pictures so that I can see what i'm consuming everyday. 
So here we go!!

Breakfast


COFFEE!! 
This is something that I have learned that I can't go without!
 Man I'm getting old!!



2-over easy eggs.
In a couple of months we will have fresh eggs...I can't wait!!



7 chickens and 2 ducks

I made a fruit smoothie this morning for a mid-morning snack.  I just knew the 2 eggs wouldn't keep me full until lunch time.  Very easy to make!  I fill the cup half full of orange juice and then add strawberries and a small banana and blend them all together.

Lunch


Now this was a great lunch!  A pile of left over green beans and a piece of venison topped with about 1 tbsp of pesto and then wrapped in a piece of maple bacon.  When I made this meal I wasn't sure how the flavors of the pesto/maple/venison would blend, but it turned out great!!  My husband also loved it!
New recipe..SCORE!!  

Afternoon Snack


Boring!!! But it got me through the afternoon.
I did get hungry around 4 o'clock so I just drank a huge glass of water.

Dinner


A day of left-overs!
These are pork enchiladas with whole grain rice with salsa mixed in it.
The picture doesn't show, but I also added low-fat sour cream and taco sauce to the top of the enchiladas.
I also had about 8oz of 2% milk.
